Fiona advises on a wide variety of banking matters, ranging from conventional secured and unsecured loans to Scottish SME’s, funding cross-border corporate buyouts and restructuring of debts of “distressed” borrowers, to advising major UK and foreign financial institutions on structured multi-jurisdictional capital markets financing. She also gives opinions on various banking matters.
Recent deals includeacting for Citigroup Global Markets Limited in connection with Halifax’s Permanent Master Issuer plc “master trust” securitisation; acting for Bradford & Bingley plc in connection with the Scottish aspects of its €15 billion Covered Bond Programme; acting for Base Commercial Mortgages Limited in connection with the establishment of a commercial mortgage warehouse facility; and acting for Russian bank Promsvyazbank in connection with secured loans to Scottish borrowers.
Fiona is a member of the Tods Murray Corporate Banking and Securitisation teams and has presented seminars on securitisation and various more general corporate banking matters. In 2005 she was short-listed in the category of “Rising Star of the Year” at The Cuthbert Scottish Legal Awards.
