Our Services

Construction

Our Construction team can handle every aspect of construction law and can help you manage your risk in this increasingly complex and specialist area of the law.

Larger firms concede that this outfit “gets involved in a surprising amount of work for its size".  In fact, clients favour the team for that very reason: “It matches up to the big city firms very well, and you get a lot of partner time to boot".  Chambers and Partners 2008

This construction team's partner-led service continues to prove popular with clients"  Chambers and Partners 2009
Our experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction work is wide-ranging and equips us to provide fast and effective advice, from project inception to completion. Equally, when problems do occur, we can react quickly and in the appropriate manner.

With a broad range of construction and property clients, we have a deep understanding of all facets of building and development work and are able to bring a sharp perspective to the commercial elements of our clients' requirements. We are familiar with all standard forms of procurement through our involvement in pathfinder projects for healthcare, education and infrastructure (amongst others) and are able to provide specialist drafting skills, enabling us to tailor contract documentation to our clients' specific needs.

Our team of Dispute Resolution specialists has extensive experience in dealing with disputes in arbitration, litigation, adjudication and expert determination in Scotland and also in England and Wales. Our experience also allows us to become involved in an effective manner in other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution for our clients, either in structured mediation or in less formal (but equally important) negotiations.

The profile of our team allows us to ensure that each case, although always partner led, will be handled in a cost effective manner.
