Further to our recent article there have been additional developments. The Department for Business Innovation and Skills has now published a Consultation on Amendments to the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Regulations 1998 in relation to the consequential amendments following the passing of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009. The consultation period is to 18th June 2010. No equivalent Scottish consultation has yet been issued but it cannot be far away. We will keep you advised of progress in this area.
