Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

At Tods Murray our CSR strategy is linked to career progression, and to benefiting the community of Scotland in which we work and live.  April 2007 created an opportunity for us to take on a new and structured approach to our CSR. We re-launched our radically enhanced Performance Management Review Process (which is called “Your Performance – Your Success”) for both our fee earners and support staff and, at the same time, we reviewed our approach to CSR. We recognised that by integrating our CSR with our Performance Management Process we could create something special. At the same time, we were presented with the opportunity to take part in a CSR project with a difference and to enter “The Lions’ Den” Professional Challenge.  We went on to win this challenge, raising over £100,000 for The Prince’s Trust, Scotland in just six months, and beating off competition from four other Scottish law firms.  The above has been externally recognised and we have been shortlisted for two Awards; namely CSR Firm of the Year and Support Team of the Year, in the Cuthbert Scottish Legal Awards 2008.
