Richard is a consultant working across the firm’s Hospitality and Leisure and Charity Law teams.
Over the last 25 years, Richard has built up a reputation in the field of entertainment law and is still widely acknowledged as having a leading practice in Scotland in this area being active in film and TV, theatre, publishing and music. Richard is liked by clients for being "proactive, helpful and easy to deal with."
His involvement in the Scottish Arts scene is also considered an asset, enabling him to display "meticulous, excellent skills in every conceivable way" while providing a "rapid, thoughtful and realistic" service that serves the legal requirements of the many of Scotland's key entertainment industry players.
He has adapted his skills to the leisure industry generally and also now acts for a number of high profile hotels, tourism organisations and event management companies. A large number of Richard's clients have charitable status and Richard has extended his skills to this area of law and regulation which has grown significantly over the last few years.
